Coaching : Testimonial
What Chad White, Principal, Brauer Capital Had to Say About Our CoachingI manage a private equity and consulting company. Most of my clients are in critical or perhaps distressed situations. Either they have not been able to raise capital quick enough for growth, have not been able to achieve the growth, or have not been able to make enough correct decisions. For my firm and clients to be successful, our actions need to be quick and effective. While my business has enough stress, managing my business, and family and personal time proved to be a difficult task. I knew and felt that my life was out of balance. I also believed that I was not focusing on the important part of growing my business for tomorrow--too much time was spent on busy tasks and not enough time on the strategy and growth issues. I wanted to get back to the passion and fire for my work, family, and playtime. To be at home with my family and fully focus on time with them and not be distracted by the office, to be at the office and not be distracted by family was a goal of mine. It was this desire that drove me to coaching. After an introduction to the process, I was sold. For me, coaching was a way to gain direction and focus on the strategic plan for my business. As I became immersed in the process, I became aware of the interconnection of many pieces and parts of my life. I always look forward to the hour long call every two weeks to ground myself and continue to work towards the desired balance in my life. Usually in each phone call, I have a couple of items from work that I want to discuss. While these topics often deal with my frustration with others, more often than not, I discover something about myself that has kept me from being as effective as I can be. These discoveries range from a lack of focus, to an abundance of mental and physical clutter. In the course of each phone call an item or two is uncovered on which I can improve myself and move closer towards the balance and passion I want in my life. After completing the first three months of coaching, my mental state and approach to business and family is better than it has ever been. Because of the choices I make, when I am with my family I am focused with them. When I am at the office or with the client, I focus on the task at hand and how best to accomplish that. To wake up each morning with passion and fire for work, family and play is an awesome feeling. It changes my attitude and also has a positive impact on other around me. Because I am confident in the choices I have made for myself, I am better able to help my clients in resolving their crises. Coaching has been the most valuable investment I have made for my business and more importantly for my life. Chad White Back to Coaching >> |
